Rawpolooza

If you haven’t been tuned in this week, Steve Prussack from Raw Vegan Radio has been hosting Rawpolooza.  Steve has been interviewing some of the most interesting people in the Raw Food Movement, and making it available to us to listen to via phone or web from the comfort of your own home. This event is available to everyone, and so far has been amazing to listen to.  We are into day three, and this event goes until Monday.  If you are interested in hearing real people talk about this lifestyle and their experiences, this is a great event to check out!

Queen of the Sun – Screening

Queen of the Sun

Queen of the Sun

Good Afternoon,

If you live in the Vancouver area, you may be interested in the FREE screening of the Queen of the Sun documentary.  This film is all about the vanishing of the bees, and what we can do to help them from becoming extint.  Without bees, we wouldn’t have fresh fruits, vegetable and honey! How could you live without these amazing foods??

Check out the trailer here: http://www.queenofthesun.com/

Screening is tomorrow, January 24th @ 6pm at the Vancouver Public Library – 901 C St., Downtown Vancouver

Hope to see you there!!

Hemp Goji Bars

Hemp Goji Bars

Hemp Goji Bars

Its been awhile since my last post.   I have been pretty busy and haven’t had much time to make any goodies lately. I made these Hemp Goji Bars yesterday and they are so good! And of course healthy 🙂 Stay tuned for more recipes cause I am feeling inspired in the kitchen this weekend.

I hope you enjoy these!

  • 2 cups coconut flakes
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup hemp seeds
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp maca
  • 1 tsp vanilla power
  • 1/4 tsp himalayan sea salt
  • 1/4 cup goji berries
  1. Mix all ingredients in your food processor except goji berries.  Mix until everything forms into a sticky ball.
  2. Once mixed, press into a square pan.
  3. Grind goji berries in a spice or coffee grinder until they are a fine powder.  Sprinkle goji powder onto squares and press everything down.
  4. Place in fridge for about one hour, then cut into bars and eat.
